Argofest: Golden Fleece Scavenger Hunt

A screen printed t-shirt and sticker designs for the University of West Florida Homecoming organization’s Argofest. These items are part of Argofest’s Golden Fleece Scavenger Hunt Challenge where students can go on a hunt with the help of daily hints for hidden golden fleeces throughout campus; collect the most and students have a chance to win a t-shirt, stickers, and other fun merchandise that scream UWF! Both designs reflect on creating memories and a sense of nostalgia among students while bringing a fun spin on the adventures in Jason and the Argonauts.

Design Process

The focal goal for both the t-shirt and sticker design was to bring out a sense of nostalgia and fun in a way that places students participating in the event to become Argie on the search for the Golden Fleece (just like the crew members in Jason and the Argonauts). To do this, the design incorporates a style typically found in nostalgic cartoon illustrations from the 1950s to the 1960s.
